Executive director by day, she has always managed to create space in her life for time on Martha's Vineyard.
Kelly Brilliant runs a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the prosperity and growth of the Fenway Cultural District in Boston. Needless to say, she has an appreciation for the arts.
Having spent many summers finding respite on the island in varying locations, she decided to set anchor and find a place of her own. From her home base this season in Chilmark, we actually ended up looking in Oak Bluffs, and Kelly uncovered a hidden gem in our very own Arts District.
Kelly and her other half, Michael Kim, principle at his Brookline architecture firm Michael Kim Architecture, were drawn to this vintage bungalow for the unique combination of residential and commercial zoning - perfect to develop their future plans to spend even more time on-island.
Before closing, the three of us spent a Saturday afternoon at the property as they completed a full architectural measuring of the property. Kelly held the tape and read out the numbers, while Michael recorded.
This normally tedious task, was somehow made to look really fun.
They clearly share a passion for their life together and I know they will have a blast from their new home base on Martha's Vineyard.
